Kelly Gerald Miller, age 85, died peacefully in his Collierville home on Saturday, December 21. He was born Apr 9, 1928, in Dunklin County, Missouri, the son of Cecil and Effie (Hampton) Miller.
Gerald was a Navy veteran and worked in the welding supply business for over 30 years. After retirement, he enjoyed restoring classic automobiles and trucks.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 29 years, Martha (Hicks) Miller; his sisters Mary Hope, Sybilla, Aquilla, and Cynthia; his children Nancy (Harvey) Stevens, Kenneth Miller, Hope (Dennis) Shelby, Kelly (Ben) Miller, Michael (Melissa) Garrett, and Brad (Bonnie) Garrett; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and scores of friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie (McGrew) Miller, his parents, and 5 brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, December 28 at Collierville Funeral Home. Per Gerald’s request, attendees should dress causally, and, in lieu of flowers, make contributions to the McGrew Cemetery Fund, c/o Deanna Odle 101 S. Street Senath, MO 63876 or to a charity of their choice.
