Dorothy Louise Rutledge

Dorothy Louise Rutledge, 93, of Collierville, passed from this life Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at her home. She was born November 27, 1925 in Shelby County to the late Howard William Sutton and Martha Jewell Coulter. She was a member of Collierville First Baptist Church and a member of the Collierville Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Dorothy is survived by a daughter; Carla Swindoll (Don), a son; Skeeter Rutledge (Karen), a brother; Bennie Sutton (Mary), three grandchildren; Renee Davis (John), Bruce Swindoll, David Swindoll (Heather), four great grandchildren; Jack Davis, Robert Davis, Gavin Swindoll, Tanner Swindoll and her best friend; Rosemary Coopwood. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband; T. Carl Rutledge, a sister; Lillie Ann Russell and a brother; Robert Sutton. The family will receive friends 1pm, Saturday, January 5, 2019 with funeral services to follow at 2pm in the T. Carl Rutledge Memorial Chapel of Collierville Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Collierville. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Collierville First Baptist Church or Piperton Baptist Church.
