Christine Jin Downey

Christine Jin Downey, age 45, of Arlington, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Born in Memphis, TN on July 11, 1978, Christine graduated from Germantown High School, and she attended the University of Memphis. She was a licensed Optician at Sam's Club Optical. She is survived by her spouse, Richard Downey and two beautiful daughters Rachell and Maya of Arlington, Tennessee; her father, Ki San Suh of Olive Branch; and her brother Chris Suh of Duluth, GA. Christine loved cooking, sewing, making unique crafts, big fireworks shows, but most of all she loved her family. She was known and loved by all of her family, friends and coworkers to be one of the most caring, hard working, and selfless individuals they had ever known. The family will gather to receive friends on Sunday November 12 at 4 pm, and Celebration of Life service will begin at 5 pm, at Collierville Funeral Home. A reception will follow. Lasting memorials in Christine's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Hospital.
