Charles William Dixon, 62, of Collierville, TN, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019. Charlie, as he was known, was a graduate of Hillcrest High School and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelors degree in Science Education. Charlie worked as a cook for many years, originally beginning when he worked for his grandfather at Wilmoth's Cafeteria in Memphis. He would later take ownership of Wilmoth's upon the passing of his grandfather. Charlie also worked for Bellevue Baptist Church in food service and most recently was a manager for Cracker Barrell. His hobbies were many and included photography, hunting, fishing, and, of course, cooking. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Jane Hendricks Dixon and Bill O. Dixon as well as an infant brother. He is survived by his wife, Terri Dixon, one daughter, Eryn Dixon, two sons, Greg Dixon and Robert Dixon, and one brother, Phillip Dixon. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 10am until the funeral service begins at 11am, all at Collierville First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
