Candace Suzette Janes, 50, passed away on April 13, 2018. Candy was born in Warsaw, Illinois to the late David Calvin Leffler and Donna Jean (Harmon) Leffler on January 9th, 1968. She grew up in Missouri, Iowa and Illinois with her family. She is a graduate of Warsaw High School and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science and graduated Cum Laude. Candy enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 19 and served until her retirement in 2010 as a Master Chief Petty Officer (CTN), serving 23 years of active duty service. Candy loved being outdoors and spending time with her children, grandchild (Charlie) and her many cousins, nieces and nephews. She loved and adored her family. She loved attending the many sporting events of her children and family as well as being an avid Memphis Grizzlies fan. Vacations were spent enjoying family - both on the beach or somewhere warm and near the water. She supported many charities some of which were, The Special Olympics, Wounded Warriors, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, Race for the Cure (Susan G Komen), Autism Speaks, and many more. Candy is survived by her husband, Donn Edward Janes; their children, Rachel LeAnn Janes, David Matthew Janes, and Daniel Alexander Janes; her siblings, Angie Huston, Lisa Roedener, Cindy Bowen, Jessica Little, and Danny Baker. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm, all at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 West Poplar Avenue, Collierville, Tennessee.
