Walter was born July 13, 1935, in Gladewater Texas, the son of Walter M. White Senior and Madeline White.
Walter was a proud Texan. He served in the Marines for three years during the Korean War. He graduated from the University of Texas with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy on January 23, 1965. He went to work for Wards Cut Rate Drugs, Eckerd drugs, and CVS pharmacy, he enjoyed being a pharmacist and interacting with the customers. Walt retired from CVS pharmacy in September 2012 after 55 years of service.
Walter was an avid golfer, he loved time with his friends. He went to Myrtle Beach for the amateur golf tournament for about 10 years. Walter loved all sports, football, baseball, and basketball with the cowboys being his favorite.
Walter and his wife Emma love to travel and they were able to see the beauty of the world. They toured Europe, Spain, Italy, Alaska, Hawaii, Switzerland, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, and many other places. Walt loved his children, his wife, family, and extended family. He was a pillar of strength for them. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. Walt is survived by his wife Emma White; daughter, Cynthia Taylor; grandson, Chad Meadors, great-grandchildren; Ever and Sylo Meadors and granddaughter, Chelsi Carter. He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey White; daughter, Elizabeth White; mother, Madeline White; father, Walter M. White Senior; sister, Marie Davis and Ann Westbrook and grandson, Brian.
A visitation for Walter will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 COLLEYVILLE BLVD, COLLEYVILLE, TX 76034.
