Steven Scott McGilvra, 62, suddenly passed into eternal rest on Thursday, June 3, 2016. Steve was born March 23, 1954 in Melrose Park, IL, and has lived in Dallas for the past 38 years. He graduated from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida and the University of Houston School of Law. Following several years as a Title Attorney, Steve opened his own firm, The Law Offices of Steven S. McGilvra, where he has been in practice for the past 26 years. Steve was a member of the Texas Bar Association.
He is survived by his “marido” of 12years, Juan J. Rios, father, Richard A. McGilvra , sister, Laura McGilvra Rosa, niece, Ilse, nephews, Steven, Edwin, Alonso and Agustin and his faithful Dachshunds, Apollo and Udo.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Rose McGilvra.
Steve lived life to the fullest, loved travel and spent the better part of the past twenty years traveling the globe with Juan and friends from American Airlines, visiting and making new friends from Australia, India, Europe and The Americas. Those who knew Steve well, know there isn’t a major hotel that Steve has not visited.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Steve’s name to Dachshund Lovers of Texas.
