Richard was born on August 26, 1942, in Alice, TX to Manan and Daphne Zoller.
He graduated from Skidmore high school and then served three years in U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. Upon his return, he got a job with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. It was there that he met Margaret Philp. They were married on May 29, 1965. They raised two daughters, Sandra and Sherrie.
Richard worked in the fields of photography and air conditioning sales. His passions were fishing, golf, bowling, the Dallas Cowboys, and his grandkids. He was an avid reader. His more recent hobbies included making walking sticks and canes, and collecting coins. He was a proud member of the Granbury Masonic Lodge #392. Richard loved to make people smile with a joke or complement.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice Hamner. He is survived by his ex-wife Margaret; their two children; three grandchildren, Mollie, Joshua, and Hunter; his sister Rochelle Bridges; his brothers Robert and Michael; and numerous friends and family.
A visitation will be held on November 27, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m., at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
