Captain Peter John Trudgett

Pete was born in Portsmouth England where he was raised. He served with Honor in the British Royal Navy as a fighter pilot flying jets off of the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal.

In 1966 Pete brought his family to the US where he would start his new career as a proud pilot for American Airlines. A career he loved and spanned decades until he finally retired as a Captain. He and his family became US citizens on July 25, 1973.

Pete loved travelling all over the world and collecting matchbooks from his travels. He traveled with his wife Donna Norris Trudgett until she recently passed on August 9th, 2022. They had just celebrated their 26th anniversary on June 2022.

He also loved sailing and scuba diving and becoming a Master Diver. He loved reading Tom Clancy novels and has a bookshelf full of his books. He always kept up with recent events in the news and always used to stand at the counter reading the newspaper in earlier years.

Pete is survived by his beloved sister Diane Macmorland, brother Bernard Hawkins, son Paul Trudgett, wife Toni Trudgett, daughter Kathryn Watson, grandchildren, Renee Trudgett, Aaron Trudgett, wife Demi Trudgett, Brianna Trudgett, fiancé Luke Story, Blake Watson, Troy Watson and Scott Watson, as well as multiple great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be Friday, December 30, 2022, at 3:00pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
