FORT WORTH -- Mary (Billie) Catherine Betts, age 89, passed on to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov 2, 2015. Graveside Service: 12:30 pm on Monday, Nov 9, 2015 at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 5 pm on Sunday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Mary was born in Mansfield, LA. She started a career as a secretary at an insurance agency in Long Island, NY. Later she opened her own travel agency. She retired in the mid 1980's after building a very successful business. Mary met her first husband, Eric Holm at a U.S.O dance. After his passing, Mary met and later married Joseph T. Betts, Sr. at a bowling league. They moved to Fort Worth, TX in the 1980's and experienced a wonderful life together. Mary loved gardening and had an award winning yard. Their yard with all of the beautiful flowers and many species of birds, was like a peace of heaven. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me." John 14:6. Billie, enjoy eternity in your new home. We love you.
