Born in Medford, Oregon on August 3rd, 1967, Kim spent her early years in beautiful Blue River, Oregon before relocating to the DFW area for the remainder of her life. Kim graduated from McKenzie High School in 1985, where she competed in track and cross country. She attended the University of North Texas on a track scholarship, studied Finance, and graduated in 1994.
Kim began her professional career with Arcadia Financial. After a period of time, she transitioned to a career in real estate under her mentor, Ivy Boland. Kim loved her work for many reasons, but especially had a passion for helping people realize their dreams of home ownership. She enjoyed a long and successful career as an accomplished real estate broker with RE/MAX, achieving many great accomplishments and recognitions. For the past several years she was with RE/MAX DFW Associates. Kim rose through the ranks of the Collin County Association of Realtors ultimately serving as President. During that time, she developed a special bond with real estate icon, Ebby Halliday.
Kim married the love of her life, Tim Raine, in Oahu, Hawaii on September 22nd, 2006, and they began their life together in the DFW area. Tim introduced Kim to the Kansas City Chiefs NFL team, and she quickly grew to love tailgating at Chiefs home games with Tim and their friends. Kim also loved the beach and enjoyed her many vacations with Tim throughout Hawaii, especially Maui.
Kim was an avid wine connoisseur. She was a member of several wine clubs and loved traveling to the beautiful Willamette Valley region of Oregon with friends. She especially enjoyed visiting her father and cousin, Sheila Blakeslee and her husband Bill of Blakeslee Vineyard.
Kim had many close and lasting friendships. She loved spending time with her friends, whether on a girls' trip to Oregon or quiet morning conversations over coffee. She especially cherished those closest to her and would often get together with them just to visit about the latest in one anothers' lives. They will miss her friendship deeply.
Those who knew Kim know that she had passion for life and whatever she chose to pursue. She was passionate about her faith, her family, and her country. One of Kim's greatest passions was her Camp Gladiator Family and her early morning workout regime. She recently received "Rockstar" status with 1300 "Check-ins". She was so proud of that achievement she displayed the milestone in the center of her home.
Kim was a lover of dogs. She had a particular affinity for the Maltese breed. Her first fur babies were litter mates, Prada and Chanel. When they passed, she rescued another Maltese, Coco. She loved them as much as any parent loves a child.
