Julia Christine Pogue

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Julia Christine Ownby Pogue announce her passing on October 25th, 2023. Julia spent her final days surrounded by her loving family.

Julia was born on January 5th, 1970 in Ft. Worth, Texas at Carswell Air Force Base to Sam M. Ownby and Cheryl Tuley Ownby. Julia attended Haltom High School. In 1991 she married George W. Pogue.

Julia was best known for her generous heart, sense of humor, and her ability to befriend someone everywhere she went. She loved making people happy, always putting others before herself. She enjoyed taking road trips, listening to music and going to the beach. Her favorite times in life were spent laughing with family and friends. Julia would light up a room with her beautiful smile and twinkle in her eyes. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother and Nana.

Julia leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 32 years George (Bill) Pogue; children, Ashtin Naito and her husband Raymond; Taylor W. Pogue; father, Sam M. Ownby and his wife Deborah; mother Cheryl T. Ownby; grandchildren, Briley and Oliver Naito; sister, Michelle Taylor; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

in her honor, there will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Texas 76034.
