He was born in Seagraves, Texas on March 10, 1939. John graduated from Seminole High School. Also, attended Tarrant County Junior College and obtained an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement.
He was married to Flo Laney on November 9, 1963. John had a career with Bedford Police. He was a member of the NRA, a private pilot, loved skeet shooting and owned several horses. However, ole "Sarge" was his favorite.
John is survived by his wife, Flo Ramsey; daughter, Ella Rae (Sherryl) Wanager of Decatur, Texas; two grandchildren and a great granddaughter; a sister and a brother. He was preceded in death by sons, John Wesley and Danny Lynn and his parents, JB and Barbara Ramsey.
Visitation will be Monday, April 3, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd. Colleyville, Texas 76034. Followed by a graveside service at 10:00 am at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
