Mike was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, to Nancy and John Kane on July 31, 1961. He graduated from Downingtown High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.
He married the love of his life, Tammy Kane, on July 7, 1984.
Mike’s career was in the auto finance industry. Mike worked for Ally Financial as Vice President of Consumer Operations since 2010. He also held positions in consumer banking, credit management and financial services dating back to 1983.
Mike was a past chairman of the ASFA Credit Risk Committee and a member of Auto Finance Committee of the Consumer Bankers Association. He was a member of multiple lender advisory boards across the auto finance industry.
He loved spending time at home with his family watching Philadelphia professional sports, Go Eagles! He also enjoyed golfing and running half marathons.
He was the loving father of Mike, Joey, Tommy, and Katie. He is also survived by his mother Nancy Kane of Exton, PA, and his sisters Doreen Kane and Denise Whiteman (Ken) of Downingtown, PA. He was predeceased by his father, John W Kane.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Bluebonnet Hall of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 3:00pm.
