Jennette was born July 15th 1938 in Saginaw, MI to William E. Warnke and Irene Warnke (nee Jack). She was the youngest of three children, and the only daughter. Jennette's family moved to Ionia, MI which she considered her home town. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ionia for many years.
Jennette graduated from Ionia High School in 1956, and then attended Michigan State University.
Jennette met, and fell in love with Byron "Bud" Hodson, marrying him on January 11th, 1958. Together they lovingly raised a family of four children. Jennette spent many years as homemaker, and an accomplished cook and seamstress. She was also active in the church, especially the Ladies Aid Society. She also volunteered in her children's schools. Later, she worked as a secretary for the Ionia Public Schools, first at Boyce Elementary, and the High School.
In 1981, Jennette and Bud moved to Fort Wayne, IN, where he studied at Concordia Theological Seminary. They then relocated to Texas, where she helped him in his ministry.
After Bud's passing in 1999, Jennette remained in Texas. She continued being active in the church, and was a proud, hard-working employee of Walgreen's in Bedford, TX for 15 years.
Jennette was proceeded in death by her husband, Byron Hodson; her parents, William E. and Irene Warnke; and her brothers, Bill Warnke and Gary Warnke.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Gretchen and Steve Umlor of Colleyville, TX; Annette and Mario Abrignani of Corpus Christi, TX; William and Rosemary Hodson of Cadillac, MI; and Philip Hodson of Corpus Christi, TX. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
