Janet Parker Long

Janet Parker Long, age 75 of Haltom City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 6, 2024. Janet was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 20, 1948. She graduated from Haltom High School in 1966.

Janet’s life was a testament to love, family, and the joy of creating lasting memories. With a heart overflowing with affection, she found her greatest joy in spending time with her beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Janet, the beloved matriarch of her family, will forever be cherished by her children, Kimberly Taylor of Roanoke, Texas, Danny Crunk and spouse Teri of Hurst, Texas, Misty Winn and spouse Joe Ramirez of Fort Worth, Texas. Her grandchildren Tiffany Buck and spouse Jason, Rance Thornton and spouse Ashley, Kenny Demont, Parker Thornton, Kristopher Demont, Karrisa Mudgett and spouse Ian, Kendyl Portalez and spouse Halston, Kelcie Crunk, Kolby Winn, and her first great grandchild Banks Portalez, expected later this month. Her siblings, brother Larry Parker and spouse Martha, sisters Renee Muchow and spouse Greg, Shari Pruitt and spouse Marland, as well as countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Janet’s home was always filled with laughter and warmth, especially during holidays when family gatherings became cherished traditions. Her grandchildren will forever treasure the sleepovers, ice cream parties, and her special chocolate milk. Janet’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering devotion to family will forever live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Though she may no longer be with us in person, her love will forever be an enduring presence in the lives of her family and friends.

A visitation for Janet will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, Texas 76034. Her funeral will take place at the funeral home the following day on February 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Following the service the family requests that you join them for a reception.
