A graduate of Providence Academy in Texarkana, Arkansas, Henry joined the United States Marine Corps and served in the Korean War (1950 – 1951) where he received a Purple Heart. Following his discharge, he attended the University of Texas where he earned a BS in Industrial Engineering. Henry was employed in the oil and gas industry by the Western Company of North America for 32 years in various positions in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas until his retirement in 1988. Through the years, Henry enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, the trailer on Lake Texoma, his backyard birds, their beloved Pomeranian, Annabelle, and any activity involving his children or grandchildren. He was a member of the Keller church of Christ.
Henry is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Nancy, and four beautiful children who enriched his life – Tracy Hosek and husband, Lou, of Keller; son Kelly Hart and wife, Jamie, of Edmond, Oklahoma; son Clint Hart and wife, Kay Lynn, of Colleyville; Christa Hanrahan and husband, John, of Austin; Grandchildren Kristopher, April, Emily, Julie, Kit, Cole, Patrick and Hannah; Great-Grandchildren Britton, Camdyn, Samuel, Madison, Reagan, Kennedy, Austen, Cooper, Abel and Connor.
Henry said he always had a great deal more than he ever thought he would and God was always generous to him. Pawpaw Henry will be greatly missed and forever cherished by his family and friends.
