Grace Tjoa Lucardi

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Grace Tjoa Lucardi, aged 71, who peacefully departed this earth on the 18th of December 2024, at her home in Hurst, Texas. She was baptized into the Catholic Faith and blessed with the name Maria. Grace was born on the 9th of July 1953, in Jakarta, Indonesia to her mother, Go Trien Nio and her father, Tjoa Hok Sioe. She was a beloved member of the St. Michael Catholic Parish community in Bedford, Texas. Grace was an almost 50-year resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth community, and her commitment to service has been felt deeply, especially for those who knew her, her service to the Church, and through her long career at American Airlines Federal Credit Union. Grace lived a life that was full of love, courage, and resilience. She touched the lives of all who knew her.

Grace is survived by her two daughters and their husbands: Mrs. Audrey Lea Worden (née Lucardi) and Mr. Alexander Gabriel Worden of Boulder, Colorado; and Dr. Rima Dee Lucardi and Mr. Steven Cameron Hughes of Athens, Georgia. Grace is also survived by her siblings: Gregory Juhadi of Issaquah, Washington; Pauline Ash of Perth, Australia; Monica Wehinger of Syndey, Australia; and Stephen Tjoa of Singapore; along with their children and grandchildren, whom she loved so greatly.

To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate her life, the following services will be held in her honor:

1. The Visitation of the body will occur at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX, 76034, from 4:30 to 8:00 P.M. on the Thursday, the 2nd of January 2025.

During the Visitation, the Catholic Vigil Service with Rosary will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home’s Chapel.

2. The Liturgy and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church at 3713 Harwood Rd, Bedford, TX 76021, at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, the 3rd of January 2025.

3. The Rite of Committal during her Burial will immediately follow her Funeral Mass at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery at 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, TX, 76034, on Friday, the 3rd of January.

4. The Funeral Reception will be held following the Burial at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, where food and beverage will be catered to commemorate Grace’s life.
