Mrs. Debra Gail Ochocki

Debbie was born December 29, 1953 in Paris, TX to Tim and Johnnie Daughtrey. Her family moved to Blue Mound, TX early in her childhood and she graduated from Boswell High School in 1972. That same year she began dating the love of her life, Robert Ochocki. She graduated from the University of North Texas in August of 1976.

Debbie and Robert married on September 18, 1976 and they were blessed with two sons. Debbie lived and fought for her family everyday of her life. She courageously and gracefully battled cancer twice in her life with her family as her motivation and her faith in Jesus as her strength. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and the best DeDe to her grandkids.

Debbie enjoyed a career in accounting for over 40 years. She became a licensed CPA in 1983, but started her career years earlier at the Texas Comptroller’s office. She most recently worked for Ernst and Young where she had been for over 25 years.

One of Debbie’s greatest joys was traveling – from family trips to the mountains or beaches to her beloved cruises, she and Robert were able to travel the globe together.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Robert Ochocki; children Bryan (Kristen) and Aaron (Chelsea) Ochocki; grandchildren: Abigail, Caleb, Madison, and Brinley Ochocki; brother Tim (Denise) Daughtrey; sister Lisa (Mark) Wells; and nephew Brice Wells and other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tim and Johnnie Daughtrey.

A service will be held on Monday, October 10 at 3:00 pm at Bluebonnet Hills (5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville, TX 76034).
