Mrs. Colleen D Hodges

Colleen Davis Hodges, 91, of Hurst, Texas, passed away on December 19, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. Colleen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all that knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Colleen was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Claude Davis and Willie Jones. She grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Diamond Hill H.S. in 1949. She married Jimmy E Hodges in 1951 and they celebrated 71 anniversaries.

She enjoyed playing card games, board games, and solving crossword puzzles. Her family genealogy was one of her passions. She loved to travel and visited many other countries. She loved Christmas and having family gatherings on Christmas Eve.

She is survived by her loving husband Jimmy; her children: Janice Gentry; David Hodges and wife Judy; Angela Blankemeyer; Melanie Hodges; sisters Martha Cauthen, Lavon Jeter, and Leola Hutchens; brother Buddy Joe Strickland; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas.
