Barbara enjoyed a career in public education and impacted the lives of students in Florida, Wyoming, and Texas. She was a long-time member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Bedford, TX. She had a passion for teaching, quilting, and fishing, which she passed on to her children.
Barbara is survived by her children, Linda Taggart and Susan Taggart of Bedford, Tom Taggart (Susan) of Fort Worth, and Steve Taggart of North Richland Hills; three grandchildren, Brad Bookout, Stacy Buky, and Chelsea Taggart-Wise, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband.
