Ruth was the second of two children born to Otto and Eva Seute on May 31, 1925, in Easton, Kansas.
She attended Easton High School in Easton, Kansas. Ruth met her future husband, Morris, in the 8th grade when she was paired with him at the 8th grade graduation since they were the same height. They were married after high school graduation, November 9, 1943.
During World War 2, she attended University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas and earned an emergency teaching certificate. Ruth taught school and enjoyed being a substitute teacher. Ruth was a devote homemaker and mother. Ruth worked in banking in Anthony, Texas as a bookkeeper. Ruth was a tele-type operator at El Paso Natural Gas for 25 year which she immensely enjoyed.
Ruth was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church in El Paso, Texas. She was on numerous committees and enjoyed being active in the congregation.
After retiring from El Paso Natural Gas, she enjoyed traveling across the country and to Europe with her husband, Morris. Morris and Ruth moved to the College Station area in 2005 to be close to their daughter, Peggy, and her husband, Calvin Parnell.
After relocating to College Station, Ruth enjoyed homemaking, spending time with friends and was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
Ruth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Calvin and Peggy Parnell; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Chris, Laura, Michael (23), Daniel (21) Parnell and John, Sarah, Matt (22), and Megan (19) Molloy.

A funeral service will be held at on November 8, 2024 at 11:00 am at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in College Station. The visitation will begin at 10:00 am at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in College Station.
The family wants to thank the staff at Langford House, Right at Home, and Hospice for their care and compassion in her final days.
