Robert Scot Jameson

Robert Scot Jameson, 65, passed away on Saturday August 3rd. Scot was one of a kind. With his big smile and even bigger heart, he could charm a room of one or one hundred. In high school, Scot was an outstanding athlete, competing in track and field and shining as a real star on the soccer pitch. Scot is well known for his many years as the best UPS driver in Chittenden County, familiar to one and all for his friendly approach to a very difficult job. Scot is perhaps best remembered as a star teacher on the slopes, where he taught generations of kids to ski through the Smuggler’s Notch “Mighty Mites” program. Many a couple started their married lives with Scot Dog providing fantastic DJ services at their receptions!

Scot was generous to a fault. Like his namesake grandfather, he would quite literally give you the shirt off his back. He kept in touch with friends for years, always available to help when someone needed him. Scot loved his family, reaching out to his family members even as he struggled in his final days.

Scot leaves his son Jared (Holly Martin), his daughter Molly Pearson, and his granddaughter, Emma May Pearson. He is predeceased by his mother, Dee Dee Jameson, father Bill Jameson II, brother Chuck and son in law Dan Pearson. Jared and Molly’s mother, Mary Magee, remained a good friend to the end. Scot’s remaining siblings, Julie Benay (Jeff), Bill Jameson (Paula Campbell), and Ginger Goepper (Eric) will hold him forever in their hearts. He also leaves wonderful memories for his nieces and nephews and their families: Megan, Adam, Mollie, Emily, and Andrew.

A celebration of Scot’s life will be held in Chittenden County, Vermont, some time this fall. In honor of Scot, do something kind for someone; enjoy some music; play some golf; and hug your family. Continue his legacy of love, laughter, generosity, and friendship.
