Carol R. Childress, 81, of Port St. John, Florida, passed away on March 28, 2023; she was born in Cadiz, Kentucky to Terry and Pauline Ricks. Survivors include her sisters, Rita Cobb of Kentucky and Susan Young (Dr. Kevin Young) of Louisiana; daughter, Amy Scarane (Larry), son Ernie Lawrence (Marlene); daughter-in-law Pam Childress; grandchildren Ashley Childress, Dylan Scarane, Hannah Childress, Morgan Childress, and Hunter Childress; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold “Jim” Childress, son, James “Ray” Childress, and daughter, Cindy Childress.
A viewing will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 9 to 10am; Funeral Services will then be held at 10am both at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home in Merritt Island, Florida with burial to follow at Brevard Memorial Park in Sharpes, Florida.
