Rebecca “Becky” Mae Kelley was born September 12, 1952 in Freeport, Texas to Joe Earl McCreary and Billie Marie Wood and passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Houston at the age of 58 years, 4 months and 21 days. She married William S. Kelley Sr. on February 7, 1970 in Clute, Texas and enjoyed 41 years of marriage. Becky is preceded in death by her father, Joe Earl McCreary; mother, Billie Marie Wood; brother, Ronnie Earl McCreary. Becky was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend. She was a homemaker and a mother of eight children along with all our friends. She never met a stranger and provided unconditional love to all she knew. Her life revolved around her children and making sure they were provided for and never went without. She fought a long battle with liver disease in anticipation of a liver transplant when God called her home. She left this earth peacefully with her children by her side. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all who supported her and stood by her throughout this battle. She now joins her loved ones in Heaven, fishing and hunting with her father, going dancing with her brother and having those much needed conversations with her mother. Mom, although you have left this earth, your love, smile and many memories will forever remain etched in our hearts. We loved you yesterday, still today and forever.

Kelley Sr.; eight children, Annette Kelley of Sugarland, Texas, William Kelley Jr. of West Columbia, Texas, Kenjo Kelley and wife Lindy of Brazoria, Texas, Lea Cooper and Husband Cory of Richwood, Texas, James Kelley of Clute, Texas, Ronnie Kelley and Fiancé Tasha Houston of Clute, Texas, Destinye Kelley of Clute, Texas, Rebecca Kelley of Clute, Texas; 16 Grandchildren, Destin, Alyssa, Shelton, Lauren, Lil’ Kenjo, Landon, Ashlee, Rico, Cullen, Jacob, Hailey, Kole, Marques, Lil’ James, Maliyah, Kiera, and one on the way; Nephew, Shawn McCreary of Clute, Texas; Sister, Dorothy Bluemel and Husband Earl of Richwood, Texas; Aunt, Dorothy Fredrick of Lake Jackson, Texas. The Broken Chain: We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. Online condolences may be left at www.restwoodfuneralhome.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Restwood Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Clute, Texas.
