After Pete graduated high school he married Patricia Figueroa and joined the Army where he served a tour in Korea and then was stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Pete and Patricia went on to have two sons, Eric Figueroa of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Pete Figueroa IV (Gabriela Figueroa) of Angleton, Texas.
Pete is survived by his wife Patricia Figueroa; and his sons, Eric and Pete Figueroa; he had two nephews, whom he was raising as his own, Anthony Bernal and Robert Bernal; he had three grandchildren, Joshua Salas, Elario (Lalo) Figueroa, Gianna Marie Figueroa; and had two brothers, Alex Figueroa (Suehayla Figueroa) Christopher Figueroa (Crystal Figueroa); and sister, Monica Rodriguez (Rene Rodriguez).
Pete was a Technical Advisor and retired from Dow after 18 years of service and was currently working at Roehm on a new construction site in Bay City
Pete loved spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, and traveling with his wife to enjoy beach destinations. Pete was a die hard Raiders fan.
Pete graduated from Victoria College with an AAS in Process Operations and Brazosport College with an AAS in Drafting. Pete was a small business owner of the Mattress Room by Pete Figueroa in Lake Jackson and also a Financial Advisor for WFG Financial Services. Pete was an extraordinary husband, father, son, friend and dedicated business owner and mentor to many.
Pete never met a stranger and could make new friends everywhere he went. His distinct voice would captivate the room and his great big smile radiated like a beam of light. He made an impact on everyone he met and always gave encouraging words to those he loved. To know him was to love him.
While we lost our most beloved Pete, many have lost a friend and loved one in him. Pete has been a rock to many. No matter what happened to you in your life, once you were marked as important to him, Pete would be by your side if you needed him. There was so much more to him than just being a dad, though to us that was his greatest roll- he was also a friend, a colleague, a cousin, a brother, a stand in paternal figure to the fatherless, a handyman, gardener, financial advisor and the list goes on.
