Joyce Ophelia Burger

Joyce was born to BW and Gracie Wilder on June 16, 1942 in Macon, GA.

Joyce was a proud mother, she enjoyed her kids and grandchildren more than anything. She loved helping people, and even became an activity director at Woodlake. In her spare time Joyce crochet and fish.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Melvin Burger; parents, BW and Gracie Wilder; grandparents, Jenny Wilder, William Hammock, and Alma Hammock; sister Judy Adkins.

Joyce is survived by her children, Cindy Barber, Gale Dixon, Fred Dixon Jr, Suzanne Beeland, Della Kelley; grandchildren Michael (Nichelle) Smyth, Cierra (Roy) Collier, Mark (Danielle) Barber, Brandon (Courtney) Barber, Samantha (Tony) Barber Gonzalez, Melvin (Jenny) Barber, Zack Beeland, Krista Baters, Wesley Dixon, Jaimie Dixon; siblings, Doris Pippin Adkins and Bobby Adkins; and numerous extended family.

There will be a Private Family burial at the Houston National Cemetery.
