Jose had a passion for his family; he enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, ranching, and any and all carpentry work.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Daniel Melendez; grandparents, Jose and Benita Garcia and Rosendo and Irene Melendez.
Those left to carry on Jose’s memory are his wife, Nancy; children Ever and Viola Melendez; and brothers, Daniel, Alejandro, and Jesse.
A Gathering to Celebrate the Life of Jose will be held at Restwood Funeral Home on Thursday, October 31 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s of the Sea Catholic Church in Freeport, on Friday, November 1, at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Rolando Gutierrez, Policarpio Cisneros Jr., Martin Cisneros Jr., Thomas Melendez, Ruben Cisneros, Jesus Cisneros, Ever Melendez, and Atanacio Martinez.
