Deborah Elaine Vining Atkins, 55, of Lake Jackson, Texas, went to meet with her heavenly father on September 15, 2021. She was born to Martha and Roy Vining on December 30, 1965 in Freeport, Texas and married Michael Atkins in Lake Jackson, Texas on June 11, 1994.
Deborah graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southwest Texas State University in 1989. In her free time, Deborah enjoyed writing poetry and creating arts and crafts that were cherished by many. Deborah was an avid believer in Christ and often leaned on him for strength. Additionally, Deborah cared deeply for those around her and had a generous heart.
Deborah is preceded in death by her father, Roy Vining, her sister, Susan Vining Hoopes, her maternal grandparents, Marvin and Geraldine Lipp, and paternal grandparents, Basil and Sarah Vining.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Michael Atkins, her mother, Martha Vining, her daughter and son-in-law, Courtney Atkins Gooris and Michael Gooris, and her niece and nephew, Ashley and Alex Hoopes.
There will be a private family graveside service in the near future.
