Charles George Arnold

Charles George Arnold, 83, of Lake Jackson, TX, passed away on January 22. 2024. Charlie was born on April 12, 1940 in Springfield, MO to the late Anthony Plummer and Mary Louise Arnold. He married Sue Elaine Snyder on May 20, 1964 in Phelps, MO. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Charlie enjoyed home improvement projects, woodworking, and cooking, especially in his custom made BBQ smoker. He had a passion for travel and enjoyed many cruises throughout the world. Charlie retired from his career as a corrosion engineer at Dow Chemical in 2005. He was recognized for his contributions to corrosion control solutions by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Plummer and Mary Louise Arnold; wife, Sue Elaine Arnold; and sister, Ellen Arnold Himebaugh.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Agnes Arnold Silberstein; brother, Anthony Arnold; and daughters, Christine Arnold, Ruth (Edward) O’Mahony and Mona (Stephen) Davison.

A visitation for Charles will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restwood Funeral Home, 1038 West Plantation Dr, Clute, TX 77531. A funeral mass will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 100 Oak Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas. A graveside service will occur Friday, January 26, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Restwood Memorial Park, 1038 West Plantation Dr., Clute, Texas 77531.
