Matt you are surely missed, i loved texting you on saturday nights, and talking to you, i am baking today, you always loved when i brought goodies into work, and even more when i made your peanut butter oreo brownies, i really miss that, and you especially,

Christmas Eve at arenas a few years ago.  

To a great boss and friend. I will miss all the talks we had about sports, food, family and everything else we talked about. I will always remember the speech you gave us at arenas Christmas Eve. You were a great guy that was always there for us when we needed help.  

Matt, you were truly an inspiration to all of us. I feel comfortable speaking for just about anyone you came in contact with when I say you had an impact in our lives. As a supervisor, a co worker, and absolutely as a friend. Every day you showed those around you how to stop and appreciate every moment in life. Thank you for that. It’s heartbreaking to hear such horrible news of your passing, you were way way way too young and had so much left to offer in life; sometimes life can be so unfair. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be who I am at UPS if it weren’t for you, I always hoped to be half the supervisor that you were for us. Rest peacefully Matt, you’ll be truly missed. 🕊️ 🫶🏼 🙏🏼

I’ll always appreciate this picture, I know I didn’t take it but Matt sent it to me to use for his contact photo and it’s one of my favorites.

Mattster we had some really fun times together buddy both at work at UPS and outside of work as well.
I remember when you would come up to me at work and drive me CRAZY asking me over and over again when I was going to go out kayaking again with the guys from work and you would ask if you could tag along cause you had never been in or kayaked before.
It's not funny but your first time we went out you were scared to death and there was a huge crowd at the pond watching us take off from the boat ramp and you spinning in circles trying to get the paddling down.🤣 It only took you 10 minutes though and you became an expert. We were suppose to go out for only an 1hr but we got to talking and laughing that it ended up being 5 hrs😄😄 it would have been longer that's due to we noticed the  sun had moved a lot and we were starting to get sun burned as well. So you said let's race each other in I bet I can beat you buddy and we were about a mile off shore we took off and you stayed right up with me the whole way for your first out I was impressed I said were going to feel this tomorrow you know you said no you think so Yeap I said Next morning at work you came and said man Mike I'm hurting what about you I said sure am told you we would But everytime after that we went out you got better and better and I was proud of you
I'm going to miss you buddy but I have us on video having a good time out there with the guys which I will always cherish Your in a better place now No worries or troubles

Mattchu, where do I start, I held you as an infant and hugged you tight as a grown man. And those hugs were the best. You entertained me and the family each and every time we were together. Your smile and comedic flare always warmed our hearts. You started out jumping off the stairs leading to the family room and as a young adult you became my friend and my hero. You traveled the world and learned so much about compassion, honesty and gratitude. You will be missed and live in our hearts and thoughts forever Mattchu. Until we meet again. I met Matthew through school at SJVC, going for the Electrical Program. We both sat up front side by side in class in Mr. Gonzales class. We were both partners in class completing all our class work and projects together, both passing with an A. I didn’t realize that this last Thursday 2/9 would be the last time I’d see or talk to him. He was a young and great person. He had a really bright future ahead of him for sure. I just wanted to give my condolences to the family. I am soo sorry for your loss. The road for recovery is long. Lean on family and friends and be there for each other in this dark time. May Matthew rest in paradise. ❤️🕊️
