Ken was born on February 15, 1938 in Merced, CA to the late Walter and Martha Buller. Ken was the youngest of three children. Ken grew up living between the Central Valley and San Jose. Ken graduated from Lincoln High School in San Jose, CA. and attended San Jose City College where he graduated with an AA in engineering. Ken began his career at General Electric in the engineering department and retired from there after 30 years of loyal service.
Ken married Rosalee Penner in 1959 and they were happily married for 63 years. They had two children who have preceded him in death, Cindy (2020) and Brad (2021). Ken professed his life to Christ at an early age and grew up in a Mennonite Brethren Church. Ken was a committed Christian who lived a life of love for Jesus. He and Rosalee loved serving the youth as sponsors early in their marriage. He attended Lincoln Glen Church in San Jose most of his adult life. Ken loved to golf and he had belonged to several GE golf leagues, Pine Mountain Lake Country Club and after retirement, Sequoia Woods Country Club in Arnold, CA. He loved that he hit two holes in one in his lifetime.
Ken’s greatest joy was his wife Rosalee and their family, hosting wonderful holiday events. He also loved to travel. He and Rosalee owned several timeshares throughout their marriage and enjoyed Mexico, Hawaii, Caribbean and Europe. Making wonderful memories with family and friends. He and Rosalee owned a RV and used it to volunteer with Mobile Mission Assistance Program (MAPP),doing construction related work at various Christian churches and organizations throughout the US. Ken leaves his wife Rosalee, Daughter in law, Terri, 5 grandchildren (Ryan, Liz, Keith, Alyssa and Hannah) and 2 great-great children (Lucas and Logan), brother, (Don and Marilyn Buller) and sister (Evelyn Koop) and host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Memorial Service for Kenneth will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethany Mennonite Church of Fresno, 9161 North Maple Avenue, Fresno, California 93720.
