Vita Lucy DiMaggio

Vita Lucy DiMaggio, age 90, of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore S. DiMaggio. The loving mother to Sam (Debbie) DiMaggio, Rick (Monica) DiMaggio, and Mary Jane (Larry) Hilliker. The proud grandmother to Heather (Joe) Valenti, Evan (Marisa) DiMaggio, Dina (Jordan) Sturos, Joel DiMaggio, and Lauren (Corey) Eng. Cherished GiGi to Frankie, Sammie, Giovanni, Juliana, and Gracie Jane. Dearest friend of Cathy Martin. Longtime sweetie to Merv Nye. Vita was preceded in death by her parents Ignazio and Natala Guastella, and her siblings Mary, Frank, Anna, Peter, Ralph, Tony, Josephine, and Vincenza. She will continue to be loved and deeply missed by her family and friends.

Visitation for Vita will take place on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 3 to 9 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A prayer service and sharing of memories will take place on Tuesday at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 9:30am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road in Sterling Heights. Friends may visit the church beginning at 9am on Wednesday. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
