Sherrie Ann Marsh, 62, of St. Clair Shores, MI – passed away peacefully at Henry Ford Hospital with her family on Monday, February 24, 2020 following an 8 year battle with ovarian cancer. Sherrie was born March 30, 1957 in Grosse Pointe Farms, MI to Kathleen and William Gardiner.
Sherrie proudly worked for Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit for 20 years. She loved country music, camping with her Michael, and spending time with her children and granddaughters. Her greatest love was always her family.
Loving wife of 44 years to Michael; Devoted mother to Matthew (Tiffany) of St. Clair Shores, MI and Christopher (Leanee) of Summerville, SC; Dear NahNah to Layla, Charleigh, Hazel, and Savannah; Beloved sister to Gary Gardiner of Parma, MI, Gail “Abby” Gardiner of St. Clair Shores, MI, and Deborah (David) Kita of Shelby Township, MI; Adored aunt to Annmarie (Bob) Gray of Allen Park, MI, Renee (Matt) Whitehead of Columbia, TN, Holly (Tom) Breen of Chesterfield, MI, Kim Gardiner of Albion, MI, Jennifer (Derek) Roberts of Round Rock, TX. Sherrie was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Carol Gardiner.
Sherrie's family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Buekers and his staff as well as the Henry Ford Hospital - Main and Henry Ford Hospital - Cottage Infusion Center medical staff for their support and care over the past 8 years.
A celebration of Sherrie’s life will be held on Friday, February 28th at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Township, visitation 2 PM to 8 PM with a 6 PM Funeral Service. Burial service on Saturday, February 29th at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, 38425 Garfield Road, Clinton Township at 11 AM. Memorial donations in memory of Sherrie may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (https://ocrahope.org/).
