James is survived by his wife Margaret, daughters; Deborah (Chris) Stein, Denise (John) Drawe, Tracey (Mike) Megill, Lee Anne (Jason) Daly, brother Charles Rummler, sister-in-law Marge Rummler, brother-in-law Bob O'Melia, sisters-in-law; Paula O'Melia and Mary Jane Cady, grandchildren; Megan (Justin), Kayla (James), Paige (Anthony), Lindsey (Clayton), Gary (Stephanie), Katie (Adrein), Elania (Josh), Les (Carly), Nicole (Cory), Ashley, Harold (Jessica), Christian (Emily), Jamison (Shelby), Adrienna, Connor, Jayden, Allie (Daryn), Johnathan and Kaya, 21 great grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Laurien, fathers; James Henson & Laverne Rummler, brother Laverne (Vern) Rummler, sister Laurien (Lou) Perry, sons; Johnathan Latrondras, Richard Henson, grandson Bow Conner, father-in-law William O'Melia, brother-in-law Bill O'Melai and sister-in-law Audry Kanter.
James was known for his loving humorous nature, often described as someone who made friends everywhere and would generously give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Professionally, James was a dedicated member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union and worked at Slanec Brothers Heating and Cooling. His hobbies included watching wrestling indulging in sweets, listening to Elvis and spending precious time with his family. He was particularly devoted to his grandchildren, often seen picking them up from the bus stop and driving them to various daily activities.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 3-8PM, Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday, December 2, 2024 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035. MI 48035. Burial following services at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, 38425 Garfield Rd, Michigan, MI 48038. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made as per the wishes of the family. James will be remembered as a loving figure who left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
