Germaine M. Koss, age 92, passed away August 12, 2012 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She was born December 25, 1919 in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
She enjoyed china and wood painting, oil painting, flower arranging, sewing, and baking. She was a founding member of the St. Isidore Catholic Church and Altar Society, the Macomb County Farm Bureau, and was a founding member of the Macomb Township Fireflies (Macomb Township Fire Department women’s support group). She was also active and a member of the Macomb County Council of the Michigan Association of Extension Homemakers.
Germaine was the wife of the late Macomb Township Supervisor Russell Koss, who
pre-deceased her on January 11, 2002. They were married for 55 years.
She is survived by her daughters Sally (Jim) Myny of Romeo and Lou (Dan) Moss of Shelby Township; grandchildren Amy (Dave) Strnad, Craig (Anna) Myny, Dan (Chrissey) Myny, Ken (Molly) Moss, Kristine (Craig) Johnson, and Kelly (Jeff) Hyatt; sixteen great-grandchildren: Austin and Noah Strnad; Miranda, Drake and Calen Myny; Jim, Ted, and Josh Walker; Killian and Callie Moss; Kayla, Reagan, Riley, and Hannah Johnson; Hunter and Jackson Hyatt.
Germaine was pre-deceased by her siblings Ben LaBaere, Laura Colpaert, and Albert LaBaere.
