Florika “Flora” Draskovic, age 70, of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2024. She was a beacon of strength who overcame many adversities in life, a true inspiration to her family and others that knew her.
Flora was born in May of 1954 near Tetovo, Macedonia, in the small village of Kopance (at that time former Yugoslavia.) Flora committed to immigrating to the United States as a young woman, which was not an easy feat in the 1970s. She first lived in Austria before joining family in Detroit, Michigan by the age of 19. In the early years of American life in Detroit, Flora worked several jobs, married and started a family. She had a deep love for her family - her children, and granddaughters were the light of her life. She also maintained close relationships with her family in Macedonia. Flora was a true caregiver to many throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
Flora is survived by her children, Boban “Billy” Pulkovski (Sara) and Gabriella Pulkovski; her granddaughters, Annabel Pulkovski, Sophia Pulkovski, and Hope Flora Pulkovski; her husband of 25 years, Ranislav “Miso” Draskovic; her sister Dobrica Bozinovski (Drago) and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Sivko and Rusanda Savevski and her brothers Stojislav Savevski and Latko Savevski.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 3-7 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038. A brief gathering will follow Monday morning at 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at 10 AM also at Resurrection Funeral Home. A graveside service will then take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, Michigan.
