Deborah "Debbie" Ann Kling, age 72, of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Debbie endured many critical health issues over the past 35+ years, but her love for her family and her strength and perseverance kept her with us until the Lord finally called her Home. She was born June 5, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Edward & Barbara (Offenbacher) Kling.
Debbie was born in Detroit and raised in St.Clair Shores. She was fun loving and the life of the party. People used to say Debbie was naturally funny and could made everyone laugh wherever she went. Her sense of humor livened up every situation. Debbie was a kind and loving riot. She worked as a Business Administrative Assistant at Volkswagen, until she retired March 17, 1987 due to health issues. Debbie was a Nancy Drew aficionado. She collected books, memorabilia, and was friends with Mildred Benson, the original author who wrote under the pen name Carolyn Keene. Debbie was also a HUGE Detroit Tigers fan and loved listening to loud music. In her healthier days, she loved to play the organ, bowl, and golf. Words can't describe how much she loved her daughters, sons-in-law, granddaughter, and sisters very much, and was much loved in return.
Debbie is survived by her children, Christina (Edward) Murphy, Rebecca (Raymond) Springer; a granddaughter, Keira Murphy; her siblings, Diane Cunningham, Lynn (John) Makinen, Lori (Ron) Dibartolomeo; nieces and nephews, Deonna, Scott (Kristina), John, Ed, Carrie, Adam (Alaina), Sara (Mike), Bryce, Zoe, Sydney, Wyatt, Ava, Nico, Grayson; her best friends, Gina Price, Janet Hakkinen, Matt Lupo, Paul Bil, Renee Campion; and her beloved last pet Marti Luther Kling, a beautiful Tortoiseshell cat that she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents.
