and William Harris at MetroHealth Hospital. He was affectionately
known as “Mooch or Moocho” by family and friends.
William attended Cleveland Public Schools. While attending East High
School he played and became the “star” quarterback. His stats spoke
volumes about his passion, dedication, and love for the game and team.
In 2000, William married the love of his life Contessa Hoskins. Four
beautiful boys were created from that union. William worked as a
Computer Technician for 14+ years. During his career, he attained several
credentials which included Cisco Certified Network Associate (CNAA),
Network+, Apple Certified Associate (ACA), Comp TIA A+ Technician,
and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He also loved taking pictures
and jumped at opportunity to capture precious moments, especially when it
came to family and social events. William was always on the scene with his
creative backgrounds and lavish photo cases.
Other interest included traveling, enjoying nature, listening to jazz, art, and
plants. Did you know that he played the saxophone? This man practiced
daily and almost became as good as his favorite jazz musician Paul Taylor.
All in all, William aka Mooch was an amazing father, husband, brother,
nephew, and friend with many talents and passions that he loved sharing
with those he encountered. William loved to talk. Every conversation
there was a lesson to be learned. William was also a barber has a teenager
in school he would cut hair in the bathroom that's where he practice on
his principle, teachers, and friends and became very good at cutting hair.
William loved to travel. If he could have traveled this whole world he
would have. He kept a globe of the world and always talked about where he
wanted to go next. William always called himself the president that never
was. He was so smart and intelligent he always said he could take over the
world like one of his favorite cartoons pinky and the brain. He also called
his self chef Mooch he would whip up a dish in no time. He smoked the
house up but the dish was always delicious. William wore many hats. If it
needed to be done he may not have been the best for the job but was done
to the best of his ability.
On Monday, December 23, 2019, William was called home at the early
age of 42 to be with the Lord. William was preceded in death by his
grandparents on both sides,William Johnson, Annie Ashley, Rafala (Green)
Harris, Robert L. Harris, aunt and uncles.
He is survived by his life partner Contessa Hoskins, children: Darnell Johnson,
Tarez Johnson, Trevon Johnson, and Darius Johnson, Grandchildren:
Darnell Johnson Jr. and Almina Johnson, Parents: Betty Johnson and
William Harris Brothers: Frederick Johnson and Georgio Johnson Sister:
Dominque Johnson, and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
