I’m so heartbroken I wish I was able to see you one more time this man was like my father😭 he was a mentor ♥️ He was a protector!!! Im 21 I was his aid at work everyday  I didn’t play about mr Williams! He loved his feet to be all lotion up idk what to say my heart is so heavy this man was one thing for sure UNAPOLOGETICALLY BLACK and he wasn’t afraid to say it lol this man will definitely be missed I love you soooo much it was a pleasure knowing you and I thank you for ALL YOU HAVE TAUGHT me! 

All I can say is he was a really cool dude. God rest your soul and peace,strength, patience, understanding , comfort, and healing to the family. 

Darrell was my cousin. We didn’t realize that we had met when we were both toddlers. But, when we were 13 and14 years old we bumped into each other in a street football game and actually squared up to fight. Cooler heads prevailed, and we discovered we were cousins. He was like a brother to me. I love him. I now regret the drifting that took place between us – not because of any type of strife or offense, but just life and distance. I love you, Bro! My heart is sad and I’m going to miss you. I already do.
Rest well.

Darryl was a co host with me in the Jay King Network "The Cool Critics" every Saturday @ 6 PM he was very dedicated and professional and I learned much more about the world and met more people than I could ever think. I thank God for knowing Mr. DLW as we would call him and pray the family comfort and peace during this difficult time 

DLW was an amazing man. I remember being interviewed by him for my first children’s book for African American boys called I Declare.  It was a great interview and very enlightening. He has such a heart for our people.  Rest well Darryl, a King gone too soon.

From the day Dee was born, my nephew and I had a special connection. I would see him at the neighborhood A.P grocery store that was in the plaza on 40th Community college st. ,he was trying to earn money carrying folks groceries . Always the hustler, he wanted to earn money to pursue his dreams. My nephew was a good kid, and a visionary man who always was planning ahead. I will miss him, and our talks RIP 


Darryl and I met back in 2014 on Facebook and we connected right away, I came out to Cleveland April of 2015 to see him and he showed my a wonderful time beautiful person inside and out.  Darryl I'm going to miss you so much no one to call my phone in the mornings saying "Wake up my Beautiful Nubia Queen". We both spoke on the phone just about every day and for hours we spoke about everything especially our grandkids. Darryl you will be surely miss I will always hold a place in my heart for you ❤️❤️❤️❤️ . R.I.P Darryl until we meet again.

DLW as he was Called on Kings In The Morning on the Jay King Network  was jovial, kind, fun, funny, serious and a lover of life.

We are sad and shocked, but happy to have shared space & energy with a Great Man & Spirit. The vibration of Darryl L. Williams will forever be in the Universe and Humanity is better for it.

There was never a time when Darryl didn’t brighten my day when we often talked on the phone. He was a beautiful man who was highly conscious of other people and the world. 

He always used the term, “Blacktastic” and I loved it…it was one of the many ways that he will remain unique in my heart.

 As he enjoys life on the other side of our earthly realm, I know that D is thriving, smiling and free from the limitations he had here. His energetic and curious spirit is at home—filled with love. I miss him💙

Darryl hired me as Activities Coordinator at Manor Care years ago. He encouraged my artistic skills. He was the only person to do that outside of my Karamu House training.  He featured me on his talk show and always endorsed whatever endeavors I undertook. He was a giant giver and will be sorely missed.... My deepest condolences go out to his wife and children. Rest In Power King. 🌹 

I remember when we use to talk about a movie we wanted to shoot here in Ghana. You keep telling me it is well. RIP GREAT MAN from your friend from Ghana west Africa Gifty pino

When I was a young Mom and my son was a toddler, I used to take him to the same barbershop that Dee went to.  We would always see each other, talk and catch up on each other's lives...then when both of them were done getting their haircuts...We would walk out the shop and Dee would give me the biggest bear hug.  He would always say...see you the next time cous...then reach down and give my son a hand-shake.  Wow, it was sooo long ago....but I remember it like it was yesterday.  R.I.P cousin, I'll see you next time.

I worked with Darryl at OYAP for 12+ years.  He was the most awesome guy!  Caring, loving, giving with this calm presence . . . wanting to make people laugh, looking at the bright side.  There for anyone in a pinch.  I always thought of Darryl as a big teddy bear, a gentle giant.  My deepest condolences for his family with prayers for peace and comfort as I realize the empty seat at the dinner table will be so difficult.  God called home one of the best ones . . . I wish God thought he was needed here more but He knows best even though often times we do not understand.  I will always remember Darryl with love and one of the best people I've met.  Rest easy in Heaven Darryl, prayers for your loved ones <3 

I am so sorry to hear about Lee  Williams your entire family has our condolences.  Our family would travel many miles to hear him sing. May God bless the entire family.

Darryl was an amazing individual and leader. Every evening in Seven Hills Health and Rehabilitation facility he would organize an Uno game with Michael, Jimmy, Gary, and myself. It was the highlight of our days. Darryl had an aura that demanded respect as soon as he came in a room. He was respected as much as he was loved. This is such a shock to me. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Prayers to him and his family. 

We would share long hours on the phone comparing notes of our lives that I will truly miss.  You've made me smile, cry and laugh so hard at times I felt like I would "wet" myself! 🤣 There will NEVER be another like you my friend.  I will forever cherish our friendship and miss you terribly💜
