William Samuel Leizman

William Samuel Leizman, 8/18/1926-10/4/24. Passed away peacefully at age 98. Devoted husband of the late Eunice (Milner); loving father of Joan Leizman and Jack Leizman (deceased); dear brother of Dr. Albert Leizman (Sally deceased), Aaron “Archie” Leizman (Reva deceased), Ruth Leizman Schwartz (Dr. William deceased), and his brother-in-law Milton “Mickey” Katz (Donna deceased); cherished uncle to Karen Moses (Barry), Dr. Debra Kerman (Dr. Keith), Marc Leizman (Nancy) Dr. Daniel Leizman (Julie), Amy Good (Bruce), Dr. Jonathan Leizman (Michelle) David Schwartz (Andrea), Todd Schwartz, Craig Schwartz (Beth) Dr. Daniel Katz, Gary Katz (Kerry) and many great nieces and nephews. The family expresses deep gratitude for wonderful care and kindness bestowed upon him by Kim Denhert and Della Hamilton whose support brought him comfort and joy.

William was a graduate of John Adams High School Fenn College and Western Reserve University Law School. He was a proud veteran and had a distinguished legal career with Gottfried, Ginsburg, Guren and Merrit Law Firm before entering private practice.

Services will be held at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel 1985 S. Taylor Rd., Cleveland Hts., Wednesday, October 9 at 11:00AM. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. To view this service, please navigate to the Services Section below and click on “JOIN LIVE STREAM”.

The family will receive friends at Beechmont Country Club, 29600 Chagrin Blvd., Orange IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING INTERMENT UNTIL 5PM and 6-9PM.

William will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew him. He loved his family, he loved being a lawyer and he loved people. May his memory be a blessing.
