Beloved husband of Sharyl M. Bloom (nee Cowan) for 52 years. Steve was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. Steve was a devoted father to Dr. Tracy (Dr. William) Goldman, Alison (Marc) Rossen and Julie Bloom (Kathleen Ellery). He was a doting grandfather to Joshua Rossen, Marley Rossen, Avery Goldman and Amanda Goldman.
Steve and Sharyl met in art class when they were 14 at Beachwood High School. Seven years later they were married . The life they shared was truly a love story. Three years later the first of their beautiful girls Tracy was born. Alison followed two years later and Julie completed their family. Steve always instilled values of love, wisdom and warmth in their hearts.
Steve graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1972 with a B.S. He continued his education at Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry and graduated in 1976.
Steve practiced dentistry for 42 years until he retired in 2018. He was a compassionate and dedicated Dentist, His bright spirit and one of a kind warm personality touched the lives of all who knew him. He brought joy to those around him with his sense of humor.
Steve and Sharyl traveled extensively around the world. Steve was very proud to be a 32nd degree Mason. He was very artistic. His unique pumpkin carvings always made an appearance in the local papers. Steve loved sports both as a participant and as a spectator. He was a walking enthusiast and played tennis and golf. Steve loved all Cleveland hometown teams including The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Steve is survived by his loving brother Robert (Doll) Bloom and sister Sherry (Mark) Kaplan and brother-in-law Larry (Katy) Cowan, and stepfather Paul Fine (Maxine Cowan-Fine deceased).
Steve's legacy of selflessness, empathy and resilience will forever inspire those he leaves behind.
University Heights Lodge #738 memorial service were held at 11:45 AM followed by funeral services at 12 noon at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Cleveland Hts, Ohio 44118 on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Burial was at Mount Olive Cemetery 27855 Aurora Rd, Solon, Ohio 44139
The family will receive friends at The Temple-Tifereth Israel, 26000 Shaker Blvd. Beachwood, Ohio 44122 Immediately following the burial until 7 PM.
