Sarajane Weisberg

Sarajane was born in Louisville, Kentucky just five minutes ahead of her identical twin sister, Shirley Jean, on June 25th, 1928 and had just celebrated her 91st birthday.

Sarajane was very industrious and artistic, starting a cake decorating company and then painted skirts for a dry goods store which both she and her sister modeled. Suffice to say they sold everything they made.

Sarajane made her own clothes as a teenager and continued while she was married. Sarajane met Malcolm Weisberg while he was stationed at Fort Knox then transferred to Fort Meade in Maryland, after his service they moved to Cleveland and were married in 1952.

Sarajane had many accomplishments; she was President of the PTA in Beachwood and President of the Willowick chapter of ORT. She worked for Hilltop reality for years and was a top agent. Sarajane was a consummate host and welcomed everyone into her house with her southern charm making sure everyone ate well and was safe. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. With each new grandchild she stayed with them for at least the first 10 days of their lives.

Sarajane is survived by her four children Linda Shepard, Jeffrey Weisberg (Patricia), Ricky Weisberg (Sheryl), Lindsey "Susan" Luketic (Darko), nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren and her twin sister Shirley Jean.

Funeral services will be held in the Mayfield Cemetery Mausoleum, 2749 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland Hts. on Thursday, September 12 at 10 am.

The family will receive friends THURSDAY ONLY FOLLOWING SERVICES at the residence of Jeff and Patti Weisberg, 24503 Letchworth Rd., Beachwood, OH 44122.
