A year ago I lost a good, no, a great friend. Bobby and I grew up together and he was a true mensh. He was a good guy and a great Family man . I have lived far away for a long time, but with the wonder of SKYPE, we spoke regularly, especially about sports. I miss him a lot and I still reach for the phone to say hello , but then I stop and remember that he is gone.     

Thinking of you cuz...you are loved...you are missed

I just heard of this today.  He owned the house next to me, and was always very friendly and warm.  Very many good memories of talking with him.  He was a mentch.

Bobby remained the same sweet, funny, thoughtful, caring, and good-hearted guy that we was as a boy growing up on Hildana Road in Shaker Heights. A mensch through and through. May he rest in peace and his memory always be a blessing to his beloved family and those fortunate enough to be his friends.

Our sincere condolences to the entire Davis family.  I remember Bobbie's infectious laugh. He was always smiling. 
My mother and his mother pushed their strollers with their youngest, side by side. I am sorry that I missed the Zoom yesterday. Bobbie, as I have always called him will be missed.  From the entire Eddie and Vera Goldstein family.

I did not know Bob. I am the same age as him,but I went to cleveland Heights High. I saw where he served in Vietnam ,1966-1967. My husband also served in Vietnam the same time.  I am sorry I never met this special person. He reminds me of my husband. He also would welcome back the guys and taught our daughters the same too. I had seen the obituary in the Jewish News.I felt a connection when I saw It. i am sorry you lost him. I understand,my husband passed away in July. I wish you peace. Bless the Davis family.

I remember often seeing your sweet dad at preschool pickup and Sophie joyously running to him. The two of them were always laughing and smiling together.  You could see it was a special bond they shared. I know he was a kind, loving and involved husband, father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed. In my mind's eye I will always see him smiling with Sophie. May his memory always be for a blessing.

We lived next to Bob, Ellie, Joanne and Michelle for 25 years.  Our children grew up together.  We are so to hear of Bob's passing.

I worked many years with Bob, and I can say that every conversation I had with him was unique, uplifting and truly unforgettable. When I was around him or speaking with him, I always felt happier. I didn't know him on a deeper level like his family and friends, but I can only imagine how loving, inspiring, courageous, impactful, and comforting he truly was. He will be missed greatly on so many levels. The world needs more of his cheerfulness and kindness. To family and friends... my deepest sympathy, you had the honor of spending your life with a great man, so please hold dear to those beautiful memories until you see him again. May God bless each one of you.

I wish to express my sadness to the whole Davis Family and to anyone who knew Bobby.  He was my first friend and although , for most of our lives, I have lived a continent away, we still managed to stay in touch.  On Sunday, I received the call that I have dreaded from Joanne , to say that Bobby was gone. I am still having a hard time processing this moment.  The Davis Family were my neighbors, but much more, and were always there in times of crisis. When my Dad died, Jackie and Bobby always invited me to accompany them to boxing and other activities. They were a lot alike and I was so lucky to have known them. I will miss our regular telephone calls when we did not solve may of the World's problems, but we did talk about the  "old days at Moreland School", sports, where time had gone, his passion for his Family and of course deli sandwiches.

I’m so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing.  I knew him when we were younger and I lived in Cleveland.    I wrote to him when he was in Vietnam. Those were crazy times. We were good friends and I knew his extended family too in Cleveland and in Miami.   I can see that he was dearly loved by his family and I send my condolences to the whole family.
