Jerry Dean Anderson, 71, of Pfafftown, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 4, 2013. Jerry was born September 19, 1942 in Wilkes County to Bert and Virda Anderson. He worked in the Restaurant Business in his younger years. He retired from Piedmont/US Airways, after 20 years of service. He had a love for sports and spending time with his family and friends; especially his children and grandchildren. He has made a lot of good friends throughout his years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Paul Anderson, two sisters, Vila Cothren and Virginia Joines, and a brother, Gene Anderson. Jerry is survived by his wife, Janie Anderson; three children, Brian (Paige) Anderson of Lexington, Ricky Anderson of Winston-Salem, and a daughter, Andrea Anderson of Winston-Salem. He has eight grandchildren, Jason Harris, Kendall, Korey, Crystal, Erika, Ty, Hannah, and Luke Anderson's; one great-grandchild, Alexis Harris. He is also survived by two sisters, Louise Arney of Greensboro, and Marie Horn of East Bend. The family would like to thank Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem for their love and devotion. Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Frank Vogler and Sons Reynolda Road Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Kevin Broyhill and Pastor Scott Vernon will officiate, as well as a special speaker, Joey Anderson. Jerry will be laid to rest at Forsyth Memorial Park Sunday December 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.frankvoglerandsons.com.
