Jeanne Marie Farry Marcari

Mrs. Jeanne Marie Farry Marcari, 84, of Pfafftown, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at her home with her family by her side.

Jeanne was born in Flushing, NY, on July 23, 1928, the oldest child of the late Albin Farry and Violet Marian Farry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Dominick W. Marcari, a sister, Barbara Paulin and a brother, Robert Farry. Jeanne was an outgoing person who loved to laugh and enjoyed bowling, drinking coffee and playing cards. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Jeanne will be truly missed by all that knew her. She touched everyone she met.

She is survived by two children, Donald W. Marcari and wife, Michele of Virginia Beach, VA and Donna Marcari Black and husband, Ronald “Bing” of Winston-Salem; three siblings, Gerrie Stock of Port Richie, Fl, Kenneth Farry of Port Richie, FL and Patricia “Pattie” Coles of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Kira Marcari, Jakob Black, Gia Marcari, Nick Black and DJ Marcari as well as several brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews and many special friends.

The family will have a celebration of life 4:00PM, Sunday, July 21st in the Chapel of Frank Vogler and Sons, Reynolda Road, with Pastor Jason Holley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Special Events room at Frank Vogler and Sons Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Triad Chapter, 101 Centre Port Drive, Suite 103, Greensboro, NC 27409 or to American Cancer Society, Local Chapter, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, North Carolina 27407.

The family would like to give special thanks to Senior Services of Winston-Salem, Dr. Eugene Paschold and the staff at the Forsyth Regional Cancer Center for the love, care and support given to our loved one during this difficult time.
