Cathy Marie Joyner Gibbs, 49, passed away February 11, 2016.
She was born in Winston Salem, NC to Joe and Nancy Joyner. Cathy loved teaching and was creative in her approach for ensuring each child’s success. She was very determined and always questioning. Cathy had a great faith in God and in his ability to make a way.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 23 years, Wade Gibbs; her children, Collin and Grace Gibbs; her brothers, Dale Joyner and Stan Joyner; as well as a host of friends and family.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 at 2pm at Grace Bible Church, 3904 Woodview Dr in Winston Salem. Rich Powell is officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation one hour prior to the service. Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
