Bill lived a full, happy, and adventurous life. He skied, played tennis, and climbed mountains (even the Jungfrau in Switzerland at age 65), sailed through the Caribbean on a brigantine-tall rigged sailboat, gambled in Las Vegas with his friends, and won big. He was a smart, savvy investor in the stock market, and loved watching football especially the Steelers with Kathy. He had a great sense of humor and was a very kind man. He enjoyed his Uncle Roy's farm riding motorcycles, and shooting guns with his family. He loved raising Beagles, hunting with his father and then son, Bill, in Pennsylvania, passionately collecting guns, and traveling the world extensively for years, but one of his most favorite places was McConnells Mill State Park where the above picture was taken. He enjoyed dry martinis, Jack Daniels Whiskey, and a good cigar.
Bill was a self-made, self employed successful man. Bill Bhame Co Inc. was a blend of a builder contracting company and HVAC company who was happily retired for the last 45 years.
Bill is survived by his son William E Bhame, daughter Kathy L Bhame; grandchildren Zachary A Bhame, Jacob I Bhame (Elaina), Camerin B Bhame (Michael and great-granddaughter Gwen); loving friend/companion Loretta Mirelli.
Bill was preceded in death by his father Ira Bhame, mother Weltha Weller, wife Isabell Bhame, sister Elmina Lewis, brother Omar Bhame, sister Ruth Wilson and brother Paul Bhame.
Bill was the best father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
There will be a service held for Bill on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Peacefield Chapel in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. Immediately following the service, Kathy will be hosting a reception at her home (3142 Featherwood Court, Clearwater, FL).
