With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father Robert “Bob” Lynch (82) of Safety Harbor, Florida on Monday, January 8, 2024. Bob was born in Trevorton, Pennsylvania on December 18, 1941. From there he relocated to Buffalo, New York where he met and married the love of his life before moving to Florida in 1971 with his family.
Bob retired 23 years ago as a driver for Tampa Independent Dairy. He always worked hard to support his family but was most proud of the many years he volunteered as the First Captain of the Odessa Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to his grandchildren, Bob enjoyed Sunday Family Dinners as well as watching a variety of eclectic vintage television shows. Prior to his declining health, he enjoyed DIY projects, and his morning coffee around the fire with friends and neighbors.
His memory will be forever cherished by his surviving family - daughters Barbara (Terry), Bonnie (Tim), Tina (Chris), and Joyce (Nick). Known as PAPA to seven amazing grandchildren - Sarah, Zachary, Hunter, Dean, Adam, Emily, & Aiden, who were the pride and joy of his life. Bob is also survived by his best friend and loving sister Roberta, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Emily, his wife of 50 years, Mary, his daughter Dorothea, his brother Rusty, and sisters Emily, Dorothea, and Mertle.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 2:00 -3:00 PM at Sylvan Abby Memorial Park at 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759.
