I've known Robb since he walked into Safety Harbor Middle School as a new student and was introduced to the class after it had already started, the memory of me teasing him about his walk through the isle to a seat in the back made us laugh. I would say we could hear his Jordache corduroys swishing all the way back, his polo shirt collar up, of course I don't remember what he was wearing, just thought it was a funny thing to say to him.  Or when we were texting each other after he got sick, I would say to him that Members Only called and they want their jacket back. He always had a good come back for everything, mentioning my attempt to wear cowboy boots for a brief time in the late 80's. That was our relationship, always messing with each other about everything and teasing each other with off the wall comments,  just to have a good laugh. He was a very funny guy with a  great sense of humor about life and never let humility effect him, he could always laugh at himself. We had so many good times in the 39 years we knew each other it's hard to just mention a few. He will always be a part of my life and will never be forgotten. Cathy, Savannah and all of their family will always be in my life and I hope they all find peace in the fact that Robb knew he was loved by all and he loved them .   Tim 

When I think of Uncle Rob, the first thing that comes to mind is generosity... besides the whole obvious height thing.  One of my fondest memories of him was when I got to spend a week with him and Aunt Cathy while mom and dad were off on a business trip.  Aunt Cathy would come pick me up from school all the way in Palm Harbor, and Uncle Rob thought since we were already there, why not have dinner at everyone's favorite - Country Pizza Inn.  He knew everyone that worked there, offered to help even though we were customers, always left a great tip, and when a single mom was struggling to get out to her car with take-out, he opened the door and helped her outside.  

On the way home, he wanted to stop at Blockbuster for, at the time, a "new" video game, NBA Jam for the SEGA.  Now, we all knew Rob was a big teddy bear, soft spoken, his idea of being animated was still reserved for most people - he'd just smile and laugh.  But he loved having someone to play this game with, and I'd never seen him so hyper.  "RAZZLE DAZZLE!" - "TONI KUKOC IN TRAFFIC!" - "HE'S ON FIRE!" were just some of the things he'd yell at the TV, standing up and throwing the controller in victory formation.  He was hilarious.

For many years, we'd visit Rob and Cathy, and then Savannah when she was born, for Christmas Night.  Even though there was tons of people there, a lot we didn't know, Rob and Cathy always made sure we were included.  And Uncle Rob always made sure no matter how late or how many people gathered 'round, he wouldn't let me leave without a game of chess.  My dad and Rob fueled my love for chess ever since I was very young.  And until I made it to high school, I could never beat either one of them.  But I remember the day I finally beat him for the first time, he wasn't a sore loser - he was encouraging and told me I better not let him win again, which I don't think he did since.  So I made sure I worked even harder at Chess Club and studied books, and eventually beat dad as well.

Robbie was 10 years old when I married Lamar Wilborn  Chris and Craigs father.  Robbie would spend the summers with us since we  already had Chris and Craig.  We lived on a farm in Georgia.  He was always sweet and sometimes got into trouble.  He loved strawberry Yohoo drinks.  He had a wonderful time on the farm, he loved to ride the go-carts and horses.  We had lots of animals and he would feed the chickens every day.  I wish I could talk to you about Robbie in person but Lamar and I have grown old and have health problems.  He was a wonderful person and he always called Lamar Dad.  I know a lot of years have passed but Robbie was a good thing that happen in our lives and for the family.  May God give you the peace you need in this time of sorrow.  We have kept up with Robbie through his brothers as the years have passed.  The entire family are in our prayers and we know we will see him again in heaven.   Maxine Wilborn
